Which style of Hover Box are you referring to? I want to make sure I know which style you’re attempting to use before giving any suggestions. I ask because our example page for the Hover Box shortcode has a number of circle images. If you can let me know which one you’re using, or even better, give me a link to an example page that shows what you’re doing, I can try to help further.
